Does anyone know how to go about producing and distributing branded wallpaper, as it has just been suggested to me and I think it is a good idea, but have no clue where to start?

have you tried a print buyer? They can usually source anything.
If you draw a blank, let me know and I will have a word with mine.

I think you might find that market next to impossible to break into as it is cornered by some very large manufacturers.
One of the biggest (Crown) now owned by swedish conglomerate Akzo Nobel I know very well as I worked for the same group and was on the group IT steering committee :)
Most fascinating wallpaper I ever saw was one which had a plaster moulding on it!!
