View Full Version : Customer protection from suppliers - any ideas

First post - been reading for while - help required now if possible

We are supplying a large order to an overseas customer. Our manufacturer is a lot closer to the customer than we are - so it makes sense to deliver direct from the factory to the customer

The danger is the supplier then obviously knowing the customer address and trying to sell directly. We trust them to a degree but think it might be an idea to have some kind of customer protection agreement - quite simple document I would hope basically just saying they wont supply our customers

Ideally a draft document would be best, but even just some ideas as to what should be in there.

Thanks in advance for any help available

I would definately have some sort of agreement in place - a Non Disclosure Agreement for starters.

Thanks

Any idea where to look for such a document? Or am I looking at getting a solicitor to draft something out? Might prove a little expensive, but if I dont have any option...

Do you do any other business with this supplier? If so, I would also make it clear to them that if they try to cut you out the deal then you'll be taking your business elsewhere....

Certainly be looking at a solicitor if you are looking at international law.
