I have a folding portable keyboard which I use with a mobile phone. It is an iGo discontinued model and I have just changed my phone. The new phone finds and identifies the keyboard using bluetooth but I can't get the pairing passwords to work. The phone side seems OK in that i can put in a password OK but I am not sure if I am sending anything or if so what exactly from the keyboard. Anyone got any experience of these gismos??

Well you will probably need to turn pin request off and perhaps add authorisation for a bit of security.
The keyboard would have to send the pin your phone has to pair correctly, and it is unlikely it can do that (though not impossible).
Security has three modes normally:
None
Auto
User
Auto should use the PIN in the master device (in this case the phone), that can work as well, it is an odd one auto it may run extra security over none after an authorise.
An authorise is you saying yes to the pairing on the phone, with or without the correct PIN being supplied.

I can't actually find any security settings for bluetooth on the phone so can't use that route. I am getting it to compare the passwords but am not sure what the keyboard is sending. nearly there. just have to play around a bit more
