I understand the importance of demographics when setting up a business, of picking your area carefully, knowing your target audience inside out etc
So.....
if I look at established businesses in the same field I can glean a lot of the information from them rather than starting totally from scratch
ie lots of event organising companies for singles (or whatever) in Bristol, Brighton and Leeds etc so I can assume that demographically these are the good areas to choose without paying a specialist company to charge me a large fee to tell me that.
Same goes for all aspects of business from design of website to appeal to certain age ranges and strata of society etc..
I've been told I must do all my researching from scratch but just seems a bit silly when others have gone there before me.
What do you think?
