best keyword research tools?

Just wanted to find out the best keyword tools members in this forum use.

i have used various tools over the years but always found wordtracker and the google keyword tool to be the best.

Agreed I primarily use just google's tool now as I found the search volumes on wordtracker inconsistent to google. I also use the googles search based keyword tool and occassionally hop onto keywordspy (using the free trial) to get stuff.

i've never used keywordspy.i like the idea you can spy on your competitors keywords but the money subscriptions seem a bit high

Hitwise is by far the best or accuracy, however when I can't get access to it I like wordtracker. Spyfu is good for finding niches.

No you can't. You can have a stab at guessing what their best performing keywords are but you are inlikely to discover their most successful pages.

If you want the best quality research tools then you must be prepared to pay for them.
