hello folks.

im new here and not quite sure what to write!!!!
ive been a seller on ebay for over a year now, selling bits and pieces, odds and sods, this and that, and alot of cr*p!!!!

but what i want, is to sell something, which will sort of sell its self, if you can follow me. i dont want to turn into a power seller, as i think its a bit cheecky, useing ebay as an extension to your motorbike or porn shop. ive looked at many many websites, looking for inspirations of what to sell. ive considdered glow sticks, mouldings, garden items, the list is endless.

the thing is, im an ordinary fella, with not much dosh. but, when we sell on ebay, as soon as payment is recieved, weather via paypal, or the cheque has cleared, we post out immediatly, with the item well packaged.

ok then friends, over to you!!!! any ideas???

Hi Pedro,

Welcome to UKBF - do you sell on ebay for a living or a hobby at the moment?

hi rob

well we initially started to buy the odd video or kids stuff, but one of the lads at work sells. he showed me how to list items, so of i went to list some of my own things.
there was nothing more exiting, than 'keeping an eye on things' in 'my ebay'. then one day, "BANG" somebody placed a bid on an item of mine!!!! whoo hoo, we were hooked.
these days, if we see something huge, ie: steam roller, anvil, diving bell and so on!!!!! the first thing that goes through our mind is.... wonder what that'll cost p&p !!!!
we sell as a daily hobby, but it paid for us (2adults, 2children and landrover discovery) to go on the ferry to the uk, for 7 days and paid for the 4 of us to go to tennereefe for 2 weeks in october!!!! ABOLUTE GODS HONEST TRUTH!!! we opened up a sepperate bank account for paypal and cheque payments to go in.
but we would like to make a bit of a business out of it. my girlfriend goes back to work in a years time. she' a legal secretary, but doent really fancy going back into that field again.

Welcome.

You sound like you've done really well on ebay... well done! We've sold a few things on ebay and made some money but not enough to take us on holiday!!

Are you looking for something unique to sell or just a good deal? I think it's difficult to give suggestions until we have some idea of an area you and your wife are interested in but I'm sure you'll get some ideas from the guys here.

hi marina.

well, im not to sure. we've got the normal size garage storage, which is usually full of junk!!!!! but with a good sort out, we can make some room.
between us we have four kids, so with jane at home, if she could pop out to the garage and bring in ?? some belly button rings/scoobies/radiator valves?? parcel them up, and post them on the way to collect the kids from school.
jane will be the brains behind the outfit!!! invoices, bills ect. i'll just do the heavy lifting!!!!! (ha ha with my back,NOT)!!!!
