Just a quick question,
What is the best way to get P60 replacement?
The person that can’t find it doesn’t work at the same place and from what I understand the person who deals with the stuff can be very difficult and take their time to do thing like this.
Can a copy be obtained by the local tax office?
Thanks

I think only your employer can really issue a P60 duplicate, and it must be clearly marked as such.

1 When did he stop working there? If it was before the end of the tax year and he was given a P45, he wouldn't have had a P60 to lose. The relevant figures will have been on the P45, and if he's lost that he might be able to get them from the new employer, if there is one.
2 If he was there at the year end, did he keep his payslips? The relevant figures will be on his M12 or W52 payslip.

I agree with the 2 previous posts. You will only receive a P60 from an employer if you are employed by them at the year end. If they don't get one from their previous employer check the last payslip (wk52 or M12) for the relevant figures. However there is no reason why someone would refuse to provide you with a copy of your P60. Even though our P14's are submitted online we always keep a copy of P60's as we are guaranteed to have employees coming in asking for copies.
