Because of my work with John Fashanu he has asked if I could promote his event at on the 28th September.
It's a Charity event and people like Robbie Williams, Dave & Victoria Beckham, Vinnes Jones, Dennis Wise, half the Chelsea Squad, plus many more celebs and Sirs and Dames will be attending.

Now the The seats are normally £800 each, but due to me helping him out I can pass them on for £600 each.
I am not making a single penny from this, I just said I would see what I can do for him, if you are interested or you would like to wine and dine a client then let me know. To view the event go here:

www.cctawards.com

let me know if your interested. Feel free to pass this on to friends, family, clients, colleagues.

Have a lovely time then, eating your posh nosh...Just spare a thought when you're tucking into your posh butties for the poor bakers wife in Yorkshire

And don't let them footballers be tight with there money, if it wasn't for many children loving them so much, they'd have no money :D One of Posh's rings could probably buy Blackpool

That's it, T shirts, bet that set them back a bit  (not) These clubs earn millions each year, should they not do better than T shirts!

Jayne

Now he is handsome, shame he bats for the other side, he could have his pick of the ladies.

If I win the lottery by then, i'll be wanting tickets. But sadly too many pennies for me :D You'll have to meet the Twiglets alone

Grosvenor House Hotel is very nice, but I think the cost of the ticket is only the start, there's the cost of the dress, accomodation and competiting in the charity auction against the Beckhams which is going to set you back a penny or two.

I think I'll just hang out in the park bogs and see if I can catch George Michael there.

LOL! And is married to a stick insect!

I'm not really interested in meeting celebs. Our other family company did the BBC TV award events & even Michael Parkinson's birthday party. We even supplied a giant chess set to A Question of Sport lol!!!

At the end of the day, people are people no matter who they are and whether or not they have a bog brush for a hair do and dress up iin women's clothing lol!

Jayne
14th September 2005, 18:21
Very true :D I'd probably be more interested in the food anyway not the celebs, we've been to posh places before and they charge about £40 a pea

I could have a really nice holiday for the price of two tickets. :D That means for two tickets, me and my husband would have to make and sell 7,000 scufflers. Still way too many scufflers, even if Stars are going. They are not that important anyway, unless you own Hello

you could also feed the starving, send money to the New Orleans Tragedy.
The point is that you dont always spend money on what you should, you can say that about anything, I am just passing on the offer. If your not interested thats fine but dont slate it because its on the forum. Im not having a go, but its an offer for those who wish to take it. Some people have already expressed an interest for different reasons, from wanting to see beckham to being fans of Lionel Ritchie. And OK are their too.

Is all the money going to the needy? All ticket sale etc. and is the hotel offering the services for free and the caterers, organisers. Your friend the footballer, he must be a nice man to back this, but it upsets me when people are make money from these things. If people can afford to buy these tickets, I hope they have a lovely time. But if had the money for these tickets, I would give it straight to you footballer friend and tell him to send it direct to who ever needs it.

If 100% of the money goes to the needy, then I think this event is a wonderful thing and I hope you sell all your tickets, I wasn't having a go at it, just saying normal people like me can not afford it, charity or not.

If these stars did something on a smaller scale, eg. dinners to meet who ever and charge £50 a ticket in cheaper hotels, maybe do ticket raffels or auctions to win tickets. Then they may raise more money. Sometimes lots of small donations from lots, outway the few larger one.
(Maybe a future Marketing idea) :D

Jayne

the only money that is being made is by the caterers, you cant feed 850 people for nothing, the hotel for the same reason, and the marketing company is making its costs back with a tiny profit. everyone else is doing it for free

probablem is to get the awareness they have to go large or hello, gmtv and channel 5 wont show let alone reporters and paps, i couldnt afford to go either, but cos of my work with john and the nspcc i have been giving 2 tickets for me and my wife.

Wow Lionel Ritchies fan reads UKBF ;)

@ Jayne - hmm I disagree in a way - sometimes you have to spend money to make money - and to get people to spend their cash they need gathering, wining, dining and then they spend :)

That said - we support children out in India - £10 per month per kid to clothe, feed and school them - so one ticket would do 55 Indian kids for the month!

SO - my money is best spent with the Indian children (not 55 a month but a humble 2) BUT the gathering in London will probably have a bigger effect and raise more cash.

Both are hopefully equally effective :)

@Michael - it would be nice if you could tell us how it goes and how much is raised :)

That's great to here :D

I'd tell them to take packet lunch next time though, or pay for their own food..will save on the caterers too, than they can send that money off to the needy.

I hope the evening goes really well for you and I am sorry if I upset you, I didn't mean to, I was only joking around.

Jayne

i will do that no proble, you should also ask Naoni from go magazine too, as I got her an interview with Lionel and a review on the whole thing too. I also have arranged football signed shirts by premiership football clubs to be auctioned off and that will raise a fortune
