Hello,

my name is Maya and I work as a marketing manager for a cleaning company called "excelreach Services" we have just done some restructuring, changed the business name and our marketing strategy, I am trying so hard to come up with a slogan for the company, and though if you guys can help me during my brainstorming, you do not have to create a slogan for me just inspire me if you can please. I would be delighted thank you

Tell us a bit more about the company so we can help. Do you specialise or generalise

Why is it so important to have a slogan?

Why not just tell people what you do: Professional Cleaning Services.

As an aside, the website needs a lot of work. If I needed a cleaner you would struggle to attract my attention as the information is full of fluff and the call to action almost non-existant.

Your slogan should express your values, so get those down on paper first (eg local, 24-hour, fast response, can cope with unusual problems etc) and brainstorm around those.
Think of the slogans of well-known businesses and why they chose them: HSBC's strapline is 'The world's local bank', so they are stressing their high-street branches (as well they might - they don't want people to know that HSBC stands for the distinctly unlocal Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation); Stella Artois chose 'Reassuringly expensive' to position themselves as a quality brand; Asda has 'Saving you money every day', thus making it quite clear they want to be perceived as cheap and value for money.
Notice how none of these straplines is longer than five words.

More ideas on my site and in my e-guide, www.winningnames.co.uk (http://www.winningnames.co.uk)

Thank you guys for your prompt replies,

to Bri: before now the company was specializing in restaurant cleaning but now we want to add more services, however if we ll add a slogan we dont want it to reflect that all we do is restaurant cleaning so that we dont restrict oursleves to a limited service.

To FISI: Thank you for your remarks about the website I do have the same remarks, and I am just waiting for the website developer to apply the changes i instructed, the company was called Stainless Horizons I think the previous website was much more straightforward

Hi

I agree with the earlier comment made about a slogan perhaps not being all that important.

Your overall persona as a business and the appeal of your website and sales people will sell the company on its own without the need for a slogan.

If you DO want to create a strapline, then this ideally needs to relate to your target market. It shouldn't be about YOU and YOUR business - it should be about how you relate to them.

For example, if you're selling Monkey Nuts to a monkey you wouldn't say, "We're nuts about nuts!" (although this is quite humorous!)- you would say, "Monkey nuts are made for Monkeys!" as this relates to the target market... or taking it a step further, "You'll go nuts without our nuts!" as you are relating directly to the reader - "you".

Just some ideas to get you going. :)

Well I guess I agree with all of you, let our services and good word of mouth talk about us, so a slogan may not be a necessity at the time being, btw REM I liked your website it is very attractive even if it s under construction :)

A slogan can be a great part of your brand, and can be used to tell people more about what you do and how you do it. However, it's not completely necessary. The best taglines, are simple, unambiguous, and fairly short.

If you need any more help, please PM me, I'd be happy to advise on any branding issues you have.
