Don't get all excited as I have no intention of moving hosts, just want to check I'm paying about the right amount.

What I'm getting:
* Hardware Lease (fully managed)
* Hosting Fee (Rackspace, Power, Network)
* Xeon 2.6GHz, 512MB RAM, 2 x 80GB IDE HDD's + RAID 1
* 50GB Monthly Bandwidth

How much should I be paying (rough guess)

Without knowing what you're offered in the management (just hardware warranty, fully h/w & software, 100% sla, 24/7 tel support to trained techs etc) it's difficult to say

xeon - single ? so probably a dell 1425sc ?

as a *rough* idea
100/m server
40/m colo/bw
and anything from 60/m if it really is managed
so 140-200/month

Yep - sounds about right - we'd charge a little more (£250) but it includes a few other bits and bobs like the Direct Admin control panel and 3 minute monitoring from 5 locations around the world on http, ftp, dns, pop3 and smtp with sms alerts etc

Do they also backup the server ?
Do they monitor it from multiple remote locations ?
Do they provide guaranteed fix/replace times for hardware failiure ?

Do they run their own network or are they just reselling someone else, and acting as a VAR ?

All of these will affect the price / level of service

Add probably £50/month for the backup, £30/month for the monitoring ...

If you're not unhappy wit the service you get why are you fishing for prices ;) ?

Thanks guys,

Looks like I'm paying a touch too much, but I'm happy with the uptime/service.

try a bit of negotiation, normally if you have had a dedicated server for a while you can reduce the monthly cost simply by asking.
