We are looking to hold a press event and would like a very rough estimation of costs.

Ideally we will hold it in a London hotel, and obviously provide catering.

Can someone give me a ballpark price, between two figures? We are only looking for a very very rough estimation to see if it is something we would be interested in, or not.

How many people? what level of press?
I would suggest you look at at a min £10k for a decent event.
Why not call a couple of event organisers. They probably have the right contacts to get you the right people attending. may be worth their costs

If you want to PM me with the details of your company and a short brief on your objective for the press event ie: build support, increase exposure, create buzz, direct traffic to another media etc.
Then I would be happy to look at giving you an estimate on costs and if you wanted I could also provide you details on what we do.... as we happen to be an Events & PR Agency.

Best,

Nathaniel.

You have to bear in mind that each journo should be given a press pack, free sample of the product (if it is a product launch) and add to the cost: drinks, venue, food, invites and staff. Quite costly but worth it if you have something to shout about.
