Does anyone have any experience of importing a site currently using Actinic Version 9 (www.actinic.co.uk) into Magento?
Or if not Magento (it's just I like the look of it) any experiences importing products/site into another ecommerce platform?
Thanks in advance.

Hi
It generally boils down to getting a spreadsheet of your products and cateories together and then bulk importing them.
Moving to Magento would be a great move.
I know Actinic is a bit of a weird system so the easiest way to handle this could be to either manually create the spreadsheet (if you don't have too many products / categories) or alternatively the way we would approach it would be to write a custom script to spider your Actinic store front and save all of the images and info automatically. This would be the most efficient way if your products number in anything above a few hundred.
The second thing would be to try to import your customer info over. I'm not sure the best way to approach that. Does Actinic have any kind of export to excel functionality?
