I know I have posted about these things before, but have been approached by edirectory.co.uk and it looks good to me, but I can't afford to make a mistake, like I did with the Askalix/Scoot debacle.
Does anyone have any experience good or bad with edirectory.co.uk and therefore any comments?
I would really appreciate some advice on this.

Hi Kate, I was approached by them and they sell themselves very well.
I called few of their existing customers and everyone spoke well of them, they would renew their contract but they all, of course, said that edirectory alone doesn't bring enough to support their site.
So as a commitment (the 12 months scared me) is good as a site promotion.
I was looking at how much I'm prepared to spend every year in advertising, and I'm thinking of going with them after xmas (need to see if all my hard work pays off this year without spending extra money on promoting the site first)
Then I spoke to a lady, who told me that, although she'll renew the contract, she gets more hits for free from signing up with www.shopsafe.co.uk,
Which I've joined and they do send lots of traffic my way.
Also, with e-directory, check how much competition you've got, and phone them up to find out what they think, don't have to tell them what you sell, just that you are thinking of joining and wanted to know their opinion.
Hope it helps :)
