Not a natural fit into the eBay product mix IMO

Who wouldn't want to be Niklas Zennstrom????? Not a bad sale at £1.4bn for a company that doesnt release its trading figures!!!!

I was reading about this over the weekend, I hope they don't take the Vonage route and start charging "Vonage, the largest internet phone company, has nearly one million subscribers who pay a monthly fee of $25 to use it."

Looks like Telecomms is gonna go crazy again![/i]

Has anyone had any access problems with Skype?

I sometimes wonder why certain numbers abroad don't work well or not at all. I don't want to start a conspiracy theory, but the traditional telecoms companies can't be happy. When travelling in the U.S., many of the big hotel chains that provide in-room internet access via LAN actually state up front that they will block all Skype packets - and they do!

(I'm not actually convinced they block the packets, more like the routing to the Skype servers).

I only use skype for im but was concidering getting a phone but am changing my mind now e-bay have bought them over as who would pay billions for a company and then offer a free service.

I prefer to use one of the other truly free internet telephony services.

I must confess that I am disappointed. While I have limited experience with eBay, I found them to be the most unprofessional bunch of cowboys with whom I have ever had the misfortune of dealing.

I too have very negative views and experiences of ebay and paypal.

From the very very poor customer service they give I just can not believe they are so big and such a success!

Madness!
