Hi folks

Ok, a pretty straightforward one this.

My www.bigmixentertainment.co.uk site gets me about 90% of my bookings, which I'm extremely pleased about.

I've been dabbling with selling party good and fancy dress items from an Ebay shop for 3 or 4 months and it's gone pretty well.

The only problem with Ebay is that there are so many people selling the same kind of things and you're almost expected to give stuff away to sell anything.

I've been toying with the idea of selling party good, novelties, and fancy dress costumes directly from my website.

I'm not looking for specific cart software as the system I use to maintain my site has a system that will plug directly into it.

I'm really just asking if the experts here feel that the site is

a) appropriate for the items I'd be lookign to sell.

and

b) Ready for that step up.

I've reached a point now that I'm getting a good amount of traffic considering the nitch I'm involved with.

I'll look forward to your comments and suggestions.

In case you're wondering exactly which system I'm using, it's called Site Build It (SBI) and the Shopsite Software plugs directly into that system with no troubles.

Over to you people

Darren

Hi

My budget wouldn't run to a second site at this point, but plugging the shopping cart into this one wouldn't cost me much more than what I'm paying right now.

You'll have to excuse the bright red, I'm totally blind so I've no idea how RED it really is, lol.

When my girlfriend's daughter has gotten her head round paintshop pro, I'll get her to tone it down.

Until then, keep wearing the shades, :P

Seriously though, no one's mentioned that's it's a little on the bright side before.

Thanks again

Darren

Hi

That's what I like about the system I'm currently using, it's pricey, well compared to free anyway, lol, but I don't have to be a techie, just a bit of html knowledge and the SBI system does the rest so I can just concentrate on writing content.

Getting a regular web host, free or otherwise and I'd have to get invovled in CGI and all that stuff I want to avoid, lol, I had enough of the techie problems when I was learning this interweb thingy.

As I said in the original post, I'm getting a good amount of traffic for my industry so I'd like to make use of it for those who think my DJ services are not for them.

Thanks again

Darren
