We normally use zencart www.zen-cart.com as an eCommerce solution for clients. Paypal offer a basic "press a button to buy" solution which works rather well - but you can't beat a dedicated software solution. If you want some examples of what zencart can do I will happily show you some of our clients websites.

Hi

Just a quick observation.

I start to get a bit worried about the seriousness of businesses that want stuf for free.

Especially vital stuff like shopping cart software :)

Obviously, no business wants to spend any more money than is absolutely necessary, but really, lol.

Anyway, was just an observation not a criticism.

Free can also mean open source

We use free operating system on all our servers, that also run free database software and free mail software.

There are more business websites hosted on servers with free operating system that there are with a paid operating system.

Nothing wrong with free or open source, quite often they are better than paid software :D

Hello,

We use, and I highly recommend, osCommerce.

It can be found here:

http://www.oscommerce.org

It's free / open source.

You can customize it as you require.

It seems all the best hosting companies do use open source software to run their servers and more.

Good Luck
