No. This is subjective. Every situation will be different. However, if you are thinking of using a single page to rank for every different type of insurance under the sun you might want to try again.

What I would recommend is build your sites with defined pages and then find out all the keywords that are related to that page and incorporate all of them into the text of the page. For example, if you have a page for boat insurance there will likely be over 100 different words that you could use that people might be typing into a search engine to find what you offer. This could be everything from "cheap boat insurance" to "best boat insurance for first time buyers".

In some cases you might want to split some terms across pages, for example you might want to setup separate pages for a boat insurance calculator or for all the different brands/types of boats.

Hope this helps.

Hello gercam,

Your going to get lots of different SEO's on here give you different views, but this is my answer....

I always recommend about 5 - 7 keywords per page as a maximum (when targeting competitive keywords.

However by doing this, you will also achieve many longtail keywords too.

eg: if targeting:- loan | mortgage | insurance | car

you may also gain positions for:-

car loan, car insurance, mortgage insurance. (hope you see the obvious, how this may work).

This is an example, and to be honest it wont be easy to do it with the keywords that i have chosen..... but..... Not impossible.

Hope this helps.
