Richard Glynn

Hello,
My name is Richard Glynn and I’m a PR Consultant based in Preston (sounds a bit like a therapy group confession?)
Like everyone, I’m still waiting for that million dollar idea to let me retire before I’m 40. But until then, I consider myself lucky to be in a business I Iove.
I became a freelance consultant just under two years ago – leaving a post as an agency account director - when I realised that I could offer my clients better value (charge them less!) and earn more money at the same time. It was the best thing I ever did.
Career highlight on a fifteen year PR roller coaster has to be launching an anti-hangover pill last year and generating more than £1million-worth of national newspaper, radio and TV coverage in just two months. No mean feat on a tight budget when no-one’s ever heard of it. (PM me and I’ll let you know what it is – some people even say it works!)
I also get a real buzz out of devising a steady stream of quality bums-on-seats news stories - even when my clients are convinced ‘there’s not much happening.’
Away from work I’m a Preston North End season ticket holder and I’m married with a beautiful two year old daughter. I’m a genuinely contented bloke - despite supporting PNE!
I’m developing long term plans for other spinoff businesses and looking forward to receiving advice from - and having my brains picked by - forum members as appropriate.
Early impressions certainly suggest it’s a worthwhile online place to be.
Regards,
Richard.
PS OK - I admit it - I just put ‘SEXY’ in the title to get your attention (an occupational hazard!). It’s not really true (another occupational hazard!). The hits on this post will tell their own story?
