Hello hello

Really hoping someone can help with this before I am forced to wander round the evil store that is Hobbycraft (so much junk that just clutters up your house!).

I need to get 20 four inch number 5's and 20 four inch number 7's on plain material that can then be stitched onto a polo shirt.
I have googled until there is no tomorrow and whilst I can find loads of material shops none seem to do numbers!

It is for a marketing thing I am doing for someone.

If you cannot help I am going to have to ring my mum!

Hi,

Get some plain fabric and iron webbing (stops fraying), Iron onto fabric, make a template and draw around onto fabric and cut out. If you want it really neat, you can get nice edging from most sewing shops at markets or over the net. Ebay has cheep fabric and sewing bits. All you have to do then is sew them on the polo shirts, your mum may help :D

Sounds interesting, will investigate...

Not sure my shaky shaky hand will cope with cutting a smooth round bit on the number five!? :D

Good shout, cheers jayne.

Fold your 0 in half and do it that way, getting both sides identical :D The webbing makes the fabric firm to cut. If you do make them (Cheeper) make sure you iron the shiny side of the webbing to the fabric.

Could you not get them printed straight onto polo shirts? I know a guy who can do this.

I suggested this but they want it stitched on as seperate material.
Apparently this is all the rage with the kids nowadays!
Topman has a lot to answer for..

Ask on The Sewing Forum (http://www.TheSewingForum.co.uk) - more likely someone on there will know. (I set up a section on it for Visitors to ask questions.)

PS. There is a danger though that you mum is on the forum already :-)
