Hi guys,

Hope you could help me out on this. I've been practising using the publisher to design an A5 magazine. Okay, I thought I've got it sorted out until I asked the printer for his opinion. There is where it all begins....the headache. :x

I've already got the practice pages set up, ie: I go to File....then Page Set up and click Custom and entered the measurement and choose portrait. This seems to be ok and I turned the pages into PDF files but then when I asked the printer he said my pages are actually two pages crammed in an A5 sheet (A6) so he says send them individually. PLease help.

It looks ok when I work on publisher but then after I turned the file to PDF as the printer require they say send them individually.

Heeeelp please..... :( :(

Many thanks Annx

How do you save the pages as PDF?

Try using CUTEPDF (Google it) install it and from publisher, select print and change the printer to cutepdf and hit the print button.

Hope this helps.

Hi Michael,

Thanks for your reply. Yes I use CUTEpdf. It seems the problem is each time i transformed the publisher file to pdf I can't seem to get it to A5. E.g I've seen some A5 mag online in PDF files, when I check properties the measurement comes to 5.83in x 8.26in. Now when I turned my files to PDF the measurement doesnt add up, mine is usually 8.26 x 11, seems like a size of an A4. Also when I do the publisher, do I choose Portrait or landscape?

I've been trying to sort this out all day and my head is hurting...so frustrating...... :x

Regards,

Annx

1 Go to publisher and File/New then page set/Printer paper and choose A5.

2 Go back to your original document and copy and paste your design into the new A5 document.

3 You may find, if I understand correctly, that the design/artwork is half the size of A5, (ie A6). You need to enlarge that design/artwork to fit the new A5 documents separately. Then save as PDF.

I hope it helps
