Hello Ever1 :D

My Name is Bhupendra and have just graduated from Uni and started work in B2B.

Can anyone help....my company is Lonsto International and operate in the industry of Queue Managements systems.....

Our existing markets include government establishments, retail outlets, hospitals, colleges and universities, embassies...literaly any establishment that operates with large influxes of human queues and high waiting times.

The company has been operational for 30 years and is currently going through a brand repositioning transition....we have a good selection of products which vary from single line queuing management e.g. whereby a customer takes a ticket and waits to be called forward to have their query processed...to multi-line queuing systems where a large number of sales and customer queries can be handled by appropriate staff members within various departments, monitoring waiting times, service analysis on each individual staff member and department and processing customer times etc can also be used for management to schedule staffing requirments.

An appointment booking system has been introduced to the organisation similar to Doctors surgery...customer calls in to book an appointment...then issued a ticket for the relevant doctor or nurse to call in using a push button which is relayed onto our display panel calling the patient in to the relevant room to be seen...the system also provides full service analysis according to each customer query.

Is there any one out there that may be of assistance to help me in pursuit of a new market place? or has any idea how i can develope my company image in their respective markets?

Hi Bhupendra

Welcome to the forum.

I had a class at Uni that covered Queue management. I think it's fascinating stuff and I'm currently reading a book about a similar field (manipulating the in-store behaviour of shoppers).

I'm sure that people here could help you with the marketing.

I've got some questions:

(1) What's your role and position in the business?

(2) Why, after 30 years is the business rebranding and what are they rebranding from and to?

(3) Is this new system a bit like Argos where the cashier gives you a number on your receipt and wait for the number to be shown on an electronic board? Or have I misunderstood (or oversimplified)?

Is it just going to be marketed to doctor's surgeries or are there other businesses that you're thinking about selling it to?

1)

My role is to drive this change and my position is not formally categorised but I am at senior management level, the director of customer services is my slave

2)

The business has enjoyed many technological and marketing changes but what we want to achieve is a clean sweep so that product lines and presentations are launched from the same springboard.

3)

Argos was clients of ours. This system does not combine customer’s queue position with customer’s receipt details but we can program specific ticket numbers to appear when wanted instead of in chronological sequence.

You have not misunderstood or over simplified but are running in parallel with our process.

Please not Argos is a highly specialised segment of the market.

We believe we have answered your query regarding doctor’s surgeries and others markets above.

Hi Bhupendra,

I'm not sure whether or not your systems would be suitable for this type of application, but I thought I would mention it anyway.

Can you do anything for Q management in a Theme Park environment?

If you can, contact Peter Ronchetti at Thorpe Park UK and tell him John Trayhorn referred you.

Regards,

John

the director of customer services is my slave

Slave, huh?

Either labour laws in England aren't what they could be, or you've an interesting view of your team members.

Welcome Bhupendra,

Hmm a director your slave? - I'm sure it was meant in jest although you don't point this out.

Have you tried airports?

I fly off tomorrow and am dreading the 1 hr queue to check my bags in.
