Hi there
I'm Vicki I live near Sheffield South Yorkshire. My friend RavenFire told me about this site, she posts here.
I'm 31 years old, mummy to a little boy and a teacher. I'm trying to escape teaching and have set up my own company www.rewardboard.co.uk We manufacture and supply star charts for kids and other behaviour management products. My aim is to give up teaching in the next 2 years.
At the moment the business is based from home and keeps me busy in the evenings and at weekends. Supernanny on TV helps sales too - bless her!
I want to be a member here to share advice, news and general business chat. I love doing PR work on the site and have got it into several national mags, I hate doing the accounts!
Look forward to meeting you all and please say hi!
Vicki

Hi, great looking site. How about adding a little more detail about how to use the charts and rewards. With Super Nanny still doing so well on the tv at the moment this could fly if you get the advertising right!

Hiya
Yes I think I need to work on advertising. The PR side is going well but now it is time to get the cheque book out and start to buy ad space. So hard to decide where though!
thanks for your comments re the detail, I'll re-read through the site and make some changes

I think it is a very positive step that you have made and a commendable product you provide, a very positive initiative.
Good Luck and welcome to the forum.
On another note, reading your entry it sounds like your a father to a young child and a teacher, at your age!!!
Welcome

Hi Vicki and a warm welcome to the forums.
If you want any inspiration I have a client who was a teacher, had a rapid early rise up the career ladder and then came to a shuddering halt as his age then went against him for senior posts.
He made the break some eight years ago and is now running his own company turning over approx £350k and now with 5 other staff.
There are a lot of very knowleageable people on here in so if you need any help just ask away and I'm sure that your questions will be answered.

I can vouch for the reward charts as I used one for my young daughter when she was potty training and it really helped.

Hi Vicki,
Your business sounds like an excellent one, I'm sure you will do very well out of it.
My daughter is 2yrs 3 months, i think too young to start using this? But definetley something we will do with her.

As for hating your accounts. http://www.kashflow.co.uk/testimonials.asp shows some genuine testimonials of people using a product my company developed. You can try it free for 60 days amd if you like it I'll arrange a discount for you.

Best of luck with it all, although I suspect you wont need much luck!
Duane.

Hi Vicki,
Like Duane I have a two year old daughter. And my missus has just given your website the seal of approval! So there might even be an imminent purchase.
You've probably already thought of this, but it would be great if you could personalise your products with each child's name. Even upload a photo?
Cheers,
Richard
PS Good luck with the PR. Your product is a journalist's dream.
