Hi there,

I thought the best thing to do would be to give a quick introduction to our business, how it works and how it benefits our partners and members.

Basically we're a shopping community website, but with a few very important differences.

1. Our members can earn cashback on their purchases.

2. Our products are picked by our members from our huge inventory of products already on site (almost 4 million products from our 500+ retail partners, including John Lewis, Boots, M&S and plenty of others. Users can also pick items from anywhere else online, ensuring we have a huge range of unique items, some of which are from smaller boutique shops which wouldn't otherwise get the exposure, if not for recommendation. So any small business can feature their products on nbs, and many already do.

3. Users create picklists of items they love, and share them with friends, family and the wider community. If you're not sure why you would want to create a picklist, I've given some great reasons to create a picklist here.

4. Once you have created a picklist, if anyone buys something off the list which is offering a commission, then you (as the list owner) earn a commission.

There are plenty of other aspects to the site, but these are the core principles. So if you're a) interested in creating a picklist, b) are a small business wanting another route to market your products online, or c) are just plain curious. Then sign up and create a picklist and share your choices with the world!

Thanks, I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone else is up to here in this forum and hope to pick up a few tips myself about marketing our site to a wider audience.

Thanks,
Tom

Hi, and thanks for the welcome. Please let me know any feedback and your first impressions. We all know how important a first impression is, and web users have a very short attention span! If you don't impress them within a couple of seconds, they're lost forever!
