I'm thinking of purchasing a colour laser printer to produce small quantities of price lists, leaflets, brochures etc. containing text and small photographic images (must have duplex print capability).

I had more or less decided on the "Samsung CLP-510" at £250.00 however I'm not sure of the image print quality at this price and local retailers don't have any print samples to show, so I contacted Samsung direct and was informed that they don't supply print samples or product brochures to potential purchasers. They advised me to buy the printer, install it onto my system and if it wasn't suitable return it to the store.

This has me thinking, if they can't be bothered to persuade potential customers to buy, with samples & sales literature, what's their after sales service going to be like.

If youre still looking for a laser printer I would recommend a company by the name of BDS Computer (www.bds.co.uk) They are stockists of some of the big names and I am as yet able to find anybody that can beat them on price for toners. If youre interested call 01189 737000 and ask for Brian.

*I am in no way affiliated to this company, just thought I'd give them a plug as they've always come through when Ive needed them too!

Thanks for the reply.

I decided to purchase the Samsung CLP-510.

It was very easy to install, it's realy simple to use & the first few documents it has produced are more than satisfactory.

I think £250.00 for a quality colour laser printer with built in Duplex capability is a bargain.

I hope you found the right one that can exactly suit your needs. I think you should also be particular about your choice of printer peripherals like the Dell TO529 and the inkjet superstore site can surely offer you great ways to save more while getting the best printouts.
