Adding Value to the Forum Members

Hi All

Ozzy has mentioned on several occasions that he is looking to continually add more value to the members of this forum and obviously increase the number of active users.

To show willing, we can throw into the pot, a half an hour free conversation with sales & marketing consultant for 5 new members every month. If there are more than 5 new members we are happy for the moderators to draw lots.

We are also happy to sponsor prizes each month for topics i.e.

· Best response to a question
· The person/ company who generates the most referrals that result new members.

Can any other of the active members add more incentives for people to join and most importantly participate the forum?

I tell everyone about the forum! I even told my Flour rep to join this morning (he's lovely)! Brainy too! And when I get my web site I want a link to here on it! (My favorite site on the internet)

I'd happily donate a set of cartridges/photo paper etc as a prize for a competition (or booby prize depending how you see it)

Those are good ideas, Dave.

How about admin creating a zip file which is sent out free to any new member who posts an introduction on the forum?

The zip would be made up of reports/articles submitted by forum members and a collection of "useful" posts.

A very good idea Dave, and it does give me more thoughts on how to make these forums a more useful resource with more contributing members.

Over the next couple of months these forums will change shape ever so slightly, with one addition being a members directory. I also like a previous idea you mentioned about rating replies, which could be tied in with some form of "credits" or whatever.

What I love about many members on these forums is willingness to put forward ideas to improve the forum community for everyone, and I'm always willing to listen.

Points would be good and there are some good donations/ prizes so far. Maybe JinJ and BIZAL could go in you latest newsletter as the two companies giving the prizes?

Also all members could have a referral number as well as a user ID and every time someone joined using that referral number you get points as well as for good posts.

I am happy to offer 1 set of 5000 business card size full colour promotional flyers (2 sided on 300gsm gloss) every 2 weeks to a winner.

If we can combine that with free design from a designer, I think there will be a lot of interest
