Browns trading as Brown Furniture Ltd

I was told its illegal. But would welcome any advice.

Don't you mean 'Browns Nightfights Ltd' trading as 'Browns'
and
'Browns Slappers Ltd' trading as 'Browns',
and
'Browns Resign-now-you-mizzo-scotch-git Ltd' T/as 'Browns'

You can do it, but you have to have it on your staionery.
