Quick question!
I would like to set up an email account with my company name as our email address for instance james @ mycompany.com (james@mycompany.com)
How do I go about doing this if I don't own the www.mycompany.com (http://www.mycompany.com) web address - is it even possible?
Are @mycompany.uk.com addresses acceptable formats?
Thanks in advance!

I wish it were possible! Well, you can - using hacking tools - make an e-mail look like it's coming from any address but you can't take ownership of any e-mail address unless you own the domain...damn, that would be cool though...

Hacking tools !!!!
If you lack "hacking skills" you can simply change the address in the options menu...

Yes this is all possible and it can be achieved very easily.
Do you already have a domain name? (www.yourcompany.com) or are you wanting to use a domain name that is already registered to someone else?

Thanks for the info - I'll be looking for a domain name that's suitable in that case!
Can an email address end in @(mycompany).org
Thanks

Yes you can use a .org domain for email, you can use any type of extension for an email account (assuming it's a valid one).

Thanks Carl!
How do you think a .org email address would be percieved?
I've only ever used .com address and if I saw a .org address contacting me I might be a little curious as to the credibility of the company.
Thanks again

What type of business do you run? What makes you want to use a .org over a .co.uk/.com?
There is nothing stopping you having multiple domains for the same email mailbox....

lol oh well...I tried to sound professional!
But seriously, I didn't know you could - when I tried to do this (long time ago), I found it difficult, but heard of programs that would let you :)
Sorry for being misleading!

The .co.uk domain has been taken! Org or .uk.com was all that was left
