We use it on our eCommerce software (http://www.openmindcommerce.co.uk) and have recently become a PayPal certified software provider.
It's quite slick and the Express checkout allows a very rapid checkout for your customers. It's a bit of a pain to code into your own site and the setup of the PayPal merchant account is a little bothersome but apart from that it's seems to be a very fast, stable gateway.
