I am about to add an e-commerce shop to my website.The company are doing a tutorial with me to help me set it up.What i would like to know is how do you go about finding customers when the job is done.I hope to sell new age products like crystals,tarot etc.I am a clairvoyant.Any advice greatly appreciated.Georgina

Although everyone moans about them, Ebay are worth using in parallel with an ecommerce site. Make sure you send out leaflets with your Ebay orders diverting buyers to your shop.
You could offer a discount to people that use your site to entice them away.

Contact people involved in Wiccan group/supplies/crystal healing and/or general 'Mind,Body,Spirit' industries - send them your information by email and follow us with a call or letter - you can do this, Business to business (B2B) communication does not fall into the 'spam' categories thatnk goodness!

Hi Gina,
I also have an e-commerce site, and am considering buying into google adwords - basically a pay per click systems which gets you to the top of the google listings. If you click on google ad words - there is a team there that can help you.
Running it in conjunction with ebay/amazon is a good idea too. What about advertising in relevant press/crystal magazines etc?

Getting people to put links to your website will also help boost your ratings on google. :)

Have you thought about writing articles and submitting them to article directories. These articles can be submitted to directories around your subject. Type in Google "clairvoyant article directory" the two main benefits of submitting articles are:

You are giving free information which will build trust in your brand people will subsequently click through to your site.

Using keywords that you want to rank for in Google as hyperlinks back to your site. These keywords Google will see as votes and this will help your site gain rankings in the search results pages.
