Hi,
Just some tips when it comes to marketing your company. Often businesses overlook the potential of a well targeted, personalised telemarketing campiagn. Contact centres are often given bad names because of dodgy window sellers or pushy sales people, but at AltaContact we have created something different. We know how effective a well managed and prepared telemarketing campaign can be, and our clients too have seen the value it can add.

hi John and welcome.
Good to see some more telemarketing firms on here.
A small post introducing yourself(Not advertising for business) would be a good idea

Hi John
It would also be good to know from a professional such as yourself how best to brief a telemarketing company to get the quality of service you talk about.
Thanks,
Julie

Simple. Get exactly what you want, do not let anyone tell you that you can't execute a specific campaign.
Many Agencies have a template to which they work from, and they will mould your campaign to what suits them, which tends to be an argueable campaign if it does not go well.
I would suggest that you aske for a small pilot campaign, many agencies will try to tie you down with a 3,6 or even 12 month campaign, this is ridiculous, a 2 or 4 week campaign will give you a good idea of what you can expect in the future, anything under 2 weeks and your not giving them enough of a chance.
If you want to ask any specific questions I am happy to help.

In the same way you get other services provided, educate not dictate and make sure it is with the people who will make the calls, not the managers.
As for pilots. Yes and 100 hours if performed by a professional telemarketing company i.e. Contact Foundry will give you an ROI statement within 5 % accuracy.
Oh due to call backs/ client interaction etc I have never seen a pilot last less the 1 month and often longer than 2.
Also remember that the Scots hate the English calling them but the English do not mind the Scots calling.
I would also look at location because there is a direct correlation between how far out of a major city centre and how good the telesales people are/ retention rates etc.
Dave
PS Contact Foundry is based within 0.25 miles of the City Centre of Edinburgh. Just thought you might like to know!

Hi John
Getting back to your original message, please can you let me know what is it that is so different that you have created?
We are looking to outsource this function so I am genuinely interested....
As a fairly new company we receive loads of telemarketing calls. Is this because most organisations buy their data from Thomson? A lot of the calls we receive get politely told to F*!x^ off because the caller seems dull and are most often un-knowledgeable about our business and only concerned with what they are selling and not how it will benefit us.. How do you deal with that from your side of the fence?
Regards
Russ

Hi John,
I'd also be interested in how your approach is different.
To be honest the guys that do telemarketing on here have completlely turned me against it so maybe you could provide a refreshing outlook.
