people became very good at spotting the spammer or spam in general, and still all that stuff still is a main engine in marketing and sales, isnt it? it has really bad image, no one ever reads those promotional emails, they hate those telemarketing calls...and still it is so used widely used by the companies....
i would love to find the right ways of finding new business opportunities in alternative ways, cos hate that stuff too, though still have to do it in my work day to day duties

any ideas???

Sounds silly but you could advertise.

If you are cold calling or spamming you are distrubing people. If you are advertising to people looking to solve the problem i.e through SEO, PPC or even just standard banners then thats different.

What are you selling their must be people looking for your services.

It is called permission marketing

First turn strangers into friends by offering them useful information for free

Turn friends into customers, as they begin to trust you

Turn customers into salespeople by wowing them with your service and offers...so they want to tell everyone else

Spam not required.

Hi admagic,

that sounds very resonable... so i beleive that something like webseminars directed at potential customers is one of other(not cold calling or spamming) ways. But what else?
what else?????

Think through a process.

Webinars work for some things, fall flat on their face for others.

In the ideal world....

First find a way to reach your customers.

I mention article marketing on another thread

Joint ventures list promotions, offering a free webinar that gives great information, then offers something good value can work

Offer something valuable for free in exchange for an email address.

Then offer something small with huge value and moneyback guarantee
the key is building trust.

Then work them up the funnel...

Put as much effort into giving good information to customers as you do into promoting to them.
