Hi

Not sure is this is best here or in IT sections but here goes.

I need to get some label printers, they need to be able to print a minimum Width of 4", preferable on continues rolls.

I am not to bothered about the cost of the printers, although I don't want diamond plated ones etc, just hard working strong printers to take a hammering.

But the consumerables need to be cheaper, we have brother p-touch ones at present and the labels arn't cheap their software isn't open and fixed to MS, but the labels arn't cheap and there arn't alerntives like the dynamos where you can get none dynamo labels at a fraction of the cost.

Anything would be considered.

Thanks in advance

Zebra do a good range - they do everything from labels, bar coding etc. Cost from £280, and have a wide variety.

Thanks the Zebra printers seem a little cheaper but I will have to take a better look at the running costs of both.

A late post, sorry. If your looking for a 4" desk top label printer my choice would be Zebra or Datamax, ribbons are easy to buy and cost effective. Although parts for the zebra model are easier to get than a Datamax printer
