Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am looking for feedback from UKBF members to help me shape a promotion that may attract them to adding Corporate Video to their marketing collateral.

Over the last few years we have been developing a business that delivers different types of video for various corporate and commerical uses. Initially we focused on video that our clients used for marketing purposes. Over the last year the focus of our business shifted towards producing and bringing to market a commercial film 'The Angel and Daniel Johnston - Live at the Union Chapel', which has achieved great critical acclaim.

During this period our corporate work was scaled back and slightly changed in nature to accomadate the film's post-production demands. We have mainly been filming accounts of company away days and special events. These kinds of video are used as a team building tool, and are not suitable to include in our public portfolio. We have also have a couple of other promos in the can that we are frustratingly prevented from including in our online portfolio due to licensing issues.

So what I really want to do is put together an attractive promotional package that will offer an opportunity for UKBF members to get a really great piece of video to compliment their marketing collateral. In turn this will provide Adjustable with the material we need to spruce up our portfolio and roll out phase two of our marketing material and corporate image, taking advantage of our commerical success.

So do you have an interest in getting some corporate video? Do you need to understand more about what it actually is and what it entails? What can I offer to entice the skeptical and aphrensive to incorporate the medium in their marketing mix? Maybe you already have corporate video, but are looking for a more effective or tailored solution?

I would really like to know what would appeal to you. If you do not want to post in this public thread, please drop me a line via my pm, or email me on enquiries@adjustableproductions.com

I am looking forward to hearing about UKBF member's requirements so that I can tailor some great bespoke offers and promotions and get some really nice promos made.

Have you looked at doing "health and safety video's"? Everyone seems to have the 60's copy. Maybe giving it a twist and make it more watchable, or gearing it at the office or warehouse environment. Not as a main project, as a sideline?

Hi Pap-Sak. We aimed to make Health and Safety videos one of our primary targets very early in our development. However we do not come across clients with that kind of requirement very regularly. We have however produced a couple in the last year. I think one of the problems is that Health and Safety in many organisations does not have that big a budget compared to marketing. Therefore it is generally only larger companies that commision Health and Safety videos, and they have a tendency to go with the larger companies, which tend to churn out the same old generic stuff.

I would welcome enquiries about Health and Safety videos as we would aim to create a captivating and entertaining video, which would serve the core function of informing video's targets and ultimately be cost effective. On the last video of this kind we produced we used the company's own staff as the principle actors which not only made the video a lot more exciting for those participating and viewing it, but made it a lot less expensive. We are particularly skilled at getting non-actors working this way. This is certainly an area where we can offer something that is unique.

What I was thinking of was something quite generic, not aimed at one company, more at a sector. Get a healthy and safety guy on board, and do a video that covers restaurants in the UK for example - all aspects done well and slightly entertaining...might be a seller, maybe not :)

More a filler, when you have a little time on the side and some hefty equipment not being used.

I think it is a good suggestion, and we are trying to develop a catalog of media products, but our strengths lie in bespoke solutions for the customer's requirements.

If we had a customer that had a requirement to make a video to show safe use of a particular piece of equipment, and we could look at the ISOs and get it signed off by a Health and Safety officer for that particular application, then we would be talking business.
