Just had a potential customer email us stating that
"McAfee doesnt recognise your site"
What on earth could they mean and where does this information come from - any ideas?

It could be something to do with this link. If you have mcafee security on your computer, when you surf the net it puts icons against the websites. Green tick for safe, red cross for unsafe or grey question mark for untested which they classify as unknown.

You can submit a site for testing but I don't know how long they take to test it.

Yes....it simply means that your site has yet to be crawled.... it does not mean that there is anything wrong with your site......there will be a question mark by your site name as opposed to a green tick. At least its not a red cross!! :)

Well, I think McAffee either need to change their message or get glasses - customers are niaive and will think it means that the site is not valid or suspect rather than that the almighty McAffee money making machine just hasn't got there yet!!
