Hi
Is anyone here a member? Thinking of joining. I could only attend events in the evenings and at weekends though. Are there other benefits?

Hiya Bea ... have a look at the membership benefits page (http://www.chamberelancs.co.uk/index.cfm?header_id=10&menu_id=FEED84F5-50BA-1829-1866FA041D78D8F0), I've also joined the Blackburn Chamber of Trade and the Federation of Small Business. They are very good for getting know in the local business community and of course a get opportunity for networking at as well - without having to paying £500+ per year like some of the networking groups.

I haven't joined as yet but I met the recruitment guy last week.It seems pretty good and they seem to organise a lot of events / seminars as well as a magazine.

Hi Bea,
Yes I would definately reccomend the Chamber of Commerce, we are members of the Greater Manchester Chamber. Now over 30% of our client base consists of fellow chamber members and we recently won the contract as the appointed IT consultants to the St Helens Chamber.
The events are well planned and run with a focus on getting to know other businesses...
