Hi,

I have posted before regarding SEO, here goes again...

I am looking for a way to advertise my Jewellery website using SEO without going through an SEO company. I have been retro funded for SEO and will be going down the SEO company route at a much later date.

Anyone with any ideas in order to boost my SEO for qpjewellers.com

I do not want to spend any money on this at the mo but I need to be looking in the right place to place my links. Which sites do I do this on? What other ways are out there to boost SEO? And is my site compatible?

All comments and suggestions will be much appreciated.

Dave

When you want an seo quote give me a call.

By the way sort your titles out. Its a step in the right direction.

Thanks

SEO is not always as expensive as you think it is

Give us your details on our free website analysis, you will get a few good pointers for your website as well as a quotation for the work should you want us to undertake it

Start with the basics; titles, descriptions, tags, keywords (relevancy rather than quanitity) & keyword research & content (and relevancy).

Then good quality relevant links to your site (a heck of lot harder than it sounds).

That'll start you off.

Why SEO should be easy

Taking a browse through certain webmaster forums you would be forgiven for thinking that SEO is the online equivalent of rocket science. Thousands of apparently intelligent people spend countless hours trying desperately to figure out how to get better Google rankings for their websites using just about any method imaginable.
The first thing somebody new to SEO should do is take a long look at sites that rank highly in Google to figure out what they are doing so lets look at the BBC website back in the year 2000.
As you can see from this pagethe news section of bbc.co.uk has had unique titles, short urls and unique meta descriptions for over 6 years now. Why is it taking so long for everybody else to catch up? It’s no coincidence that the BBC probably gets more traffic from Google.co.uk than any other site, they have had a perfectly optimised website since Google began.
Why are thousands of people, 7 years down the line, still figuring out that adding unique titles is a good idea? How can web designers be churning out websites with the same title on every page? Surely even somebody without any knowledge of SEO can see that copying the way the BBC structures pages would be a good roadmap for success.
Of course on site SEO is only a very small percentage of the equation for most sites, off site SEO is the hard bit and that really is rocket science.

You should stop right there.
You dont know what you are talking about.
BBC has more information than any other website out there and has a news feed provided by them. THAT is why they are every where.

You miss the important factor that google is a source of information. You saying that onsite seo is only a small factor proves your lack of understanding.

And it is not ROCKET SCIENCE.
People who make out it is are the ones to avoid.

OK guys, good information. But before you start beating each other with your SEO handbags can I just ask (again) what you mean by "sort out your titles?"

Thanks
