I am in the process of launching my bookkeeping business but I'm thinking of offering Virtual PA Services in the near future. I was wondering whether I should launch the business as a virtual PA Service and offer bookkeeping services within or should I launch the businesses separately. If I launched it as one business it will save me alot of money on networking and so on.

Another part of me thinks I may loose potential bookkeeping clients as they may not be looking for Virtual PA Services and prefer using a sole bookkeeping business.

Any suggestions?

Why not have both services under one business, and let people choose which service to take - 1 or both

Most Virtual PA's offer bookkeeping as one of their services. Someone looking for bookkeeping will not necessarily be looking for a VA and visa versa. Thats my worry, but it will definitely be cheaper to do the two in one.

The more I think about it I realise it would be very cost effective to do the two businesses together, it will save me on cost of phone calls as well. I can put both products through in one call.

Any more suggestions?
