In box 6,7,8 and 9 (of my first VAT return form), I presume you round the figures up to the nearest £1 as you cannot enter pence figures in the boxes.

Even better do it online - no need to get your pen or pencil out, you can print off a copy of the Return, you dont have to go to the post box, no VAT returns get lost in the post, and you get an extra 7 days to pay the VAT:)

Just doing my return, small point - I bought fuel with my debit card on the 25th April (which falls in the end of April date for returns) but I noticed they did not debit my account till May 6th. Which date is relevant in reclaiming the VAT?

Tax date is the date of the purchase.
