Hi,

Could someone please answer some simple questions for me?

1. If I where to start an online business selling adult toy or something to that effect are there any special rules I must follow?

2. If the site is owned by a sole trader, what information must the site contain? Do I have to put my home address?

3. What are the things one should be aware of in regards to selling online. By this I mean law etc?

4. What the best practice for building a customer base and selling online?

2. Yes you would need to put an address and contact number on their.
3. Distance selling regulations for one
4.Networking, advertising, marketing, link building...the list goes on!

I have developed 5 adult toy websites in the past and even with the heavy advice I gave each client on how difficult the market is they were eager to go ahead.

This is a very competitive market since you will be competiting with sites like sextoys.co.uk who are owners of neton1 affiliates who pretty much control the market, there are so many drop shippers doing this its very difficult market.

There arn't to many legal implications you will need to display some contact info, a returns address, if you are using drop shipping you can normaly use their details for returns etc so you wont have to put your own info on.
