I need a book that explains in depth techniques for successful ecommerce sites.

I had a look in a big book shop today and all they had were books that explained how to build a site from a technical point of view - I already know enough to code and design the actual site.

What I need is a book that covers the techniques of selling/converting as successfully as possible online. The psychology of online shopping I suppose!

Basically I want to make a proper study of ecommerce and push things a little further, along with my own understanding. I already have a strong and growing site but anytime I'm not improving my competitors could be :) So best stay ahead...

Anyone read anything they would recommend?

Hello

I'm not sure if this is what you want, but i have been reading quite a bit of this fella's (http://www.edrivis.com/?page_id=2)stuff recently, in my own research.

He seems to make a lot of sense to a researching amateur like me.

That looks more like advice on e-marketing strategies - or have I misread it completely?

Thanks for the link though :)

I'd take a look at anything by Jakob Nielsen or Steve Krug.

"Don't make me think" in particular is supposed to be an excellent read.

Jeff Jarvis - What Would Google Do is also great.

Hope that helps
