Might be useful for some to know that Service pack 2 for Office 2007 is now available as part of the windows update program. Haven't looked at what all the changes are apart from one very useful one of being able to save natively in PDF format.
Don't ask me why but my machine is fair nipping along all over since I put this on. No idea why.
it includes IE8
Allow as long as an hour to download and install it all.

Office 2007 SP2 doesn't include IE8. Download time <5mins.
Not noticed any real performance difference yet but it does take a while to notice sometimes :)

I think that IE8 happens to have been made available at the same time as Office 2007 SP2 rather than them being part of the same thing. The reason I say that is because on another machine that doesn't have Office 2007 on I'm being offered IE8 seperately.
As a seperate issue I've discovered that although Vista Business doesn't include the Windows games they can actually be added back in easily should you so wish. :D
Control Panel - Programs and Features - Turn Windows Features On or Off.
Yes sorry separate download for IE8 but it is now seen as an essential upgrade.
IE8 - crashing for me lots though:(
