I have a newsletter that goes out monthly and I currently have just over 100 subscribers at present, probably closer to 150 now I think about it. There has been a lot of talk on the forum recently regarding telemarketing, so if your interested in our this area, and want to know what I'm up to then let me know and I will send you July's addition with my ugly mug on the front ( Email )

Well if persistance counts for anything I just signed up to see if it's as good as Michael says it is ;)
Hope it's got an auto-opt-out facility Michael ?

If everyone posted 5 times in one month about their newsletter then this place would be rather boring, that is all I am saying.

If everyone posted 5 times in one month about their newsletter then this place would be rather boring, that is all I am saying. If that was all that they posted, yes, but these posts represent only a small proportion of his contribution to the forum. Anyway, we all get out seasonally adjusted hobby horses :-)

A higher post count doesn't mean different rules. Pimping a newsletter like this is blatant advertising and as I said if everyone was doing it this place would be awash with adverts.

and "can you review my website" is'nt.
I refer to Kybers statement. Many thanks Kyber.

Well If someone posts "can you review my website" 5 times in a month then yes it is again too much. And also it is not direct advertising.
Like "oh I do a newsletter if you are interested subscribe." Don't you get it? We already know you do a newsletter, 5 threads in one month is the forum equivalent of spamming us to death.

I think you made your point three blogs a go. if you have an issue with me take it up with me directly or make a complaint dont bring it in to open blogging.
This is from someone that advertises £50 a website flashing away to the side there

This is a post not a blog, i.e. I am now posting not blogging. A blog is an online journal.
Avatars are specifically meant for company logos so this is what I will use it for thank you very much.
If I have an issue again I will bring it up directly with you on the open forum just like I have now.

Ok - I think everyones made their point clearly enough here.
Maybe you guys can just agree to draw a line under this one?
If theres anything thats blatant spam then Ozzy, Alpha or myself are around to moderate and tidy things up.
