I am looking to send out a regular newsletter in the form of an html email. I started looking at Outlook Express, uploading the html file and sending the email as a webpage. This is a very cheap and simple way to use html emails, but my client doesnt used Outlook Express, but Outlook Exchange instead.
What are my options now, as I dont think Outlook Exchange has send as webpage. I have looked at email delievery packages like digemail which looks good, but have a annual fee.
Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? If so I would be grateful to hear from you.
Many thanks[/i]

If you make up your page as html then view in internet explorer.
Click file send page by e-mail and send it to yourself you then have the html e-mail.
Is this what your after

Thanks chris, that looks very useful.
Do most email clients suport this though, being that you are calling the function from IE?

If you are using outlook then there is option under tools>>options>>mail format.
Under that default mail format select HTML

Outlook is the e-mail client
Exchange is a mail server program
Most home users connnect to their isp e-mail server using the pop3 and smtp
Whereas corporate users usualy connect to a company exchange server which holds their e-mail.

thanks chris. and I take it the server doesnt have a say in whether you can send/recieve html emails or not, thats down to the email client.

There is a client option to turn it on and off
In outlook goto tools, options, mail format and you can choose the e-mail format there

As far as im aware it is handled by the client and all the exchange server does is pass it on

Just one other question.
A client of mine wants to have a header and footer added to all the emails they send out. They use outlook express 6, what is the best way to set this up, are there different ways in doing this?

I have tried your way of sending an html file from IE, through the email client. However when the web page loads in microsoft outlook, a rule appears at the top for some reason and cant be deleted. This happends on all pages I have tried and it views when the email arrives the other end.
Is this something you have come accross, or have any suggestions?
