I am using the free service, It gives me enough stats for the time being, If I feel a need for it I may upgrade in future.

statcounter as well I'm afraid.
We don't generate enough traffic to warrant paying for the upgraded log.. what it offers for free is good enough for now.

We did go for the upgrade just because of site traffic and to capture the SE querystrings, around £6 a month.

Is it listed anywhere - what would be considered reasonable to good stats for traffic or is it just subjective?
I keep checking mine (become a bit of an obsession actually), but I haven't got a clue if they are good or not!

It depends on the site
The important thing is if people buy or not and not the number of visitors allthough I like seeing high numbers in there and have became a bit obsesive in the past.
I check my stats to find where people exit my site e.g. if everyone comes to main page then exits then Il try to improve that page.

I currently just have my host 1and1's stats, which are meagre to say the least and when I read this post and took a look at all the stats available with statscounter, I was shocked at the difference. There is room there for me to develop a SERIOUS obsession
Now I just have to find out how to add the code to actinic :?

Its realy easy to set up
They just give you a bit of code and you copy and paste it into each your pages that youd like to track and away you go.
If you need any help just ask and one of us will put you right.
