Hi,
I have almost finished writing a book which I hope will be accepted for publication soon. The book is titled ‘The Secrets of Getting Your Bank Manager To Say Yes!’ As the title suggests the focus of the book is revealing the secrets of how Bank Managers look at requests from small businesses to borrow money and what entrepreneurs can do to improve their chances of success. This is something I’m sure many small business owners will be interested in!
Over the years I have dealt with many small business owners who did themselves no favours when presenting applications for loans and overdrafts to their Banks. Poorly presented applications and no understanding of what Banks look for can often be the difference between success and failure. My aim in writing the book is to help small business owners to understand what Banks need so you are better prepared.
So where do you come in? I have more or less completed the book but what I need are some quotes from people like you who may have some experience in dealing with Banks. Here’s some examples of what I’m looking for:
Have you been successful in always obtaining finance? If so, what do you attribute your success to?
- Have you been declined by a Bank? Looking back do you think there were things you should have done differently?
- What are your tips on building a relationship with your Bank Manager?
- What do you look for in a Bank or Bank Manager?
- Have you got a story (good or bad) about your dealings with a Bank and what’s the learning point from it?
Contributions such as these will help bring the book to life.
What’s in for you? First, the chance of seeing your name in print! If I use your quote, then subject to your permission, in the acknowledgements I’ll include your name, business name and any contact details you want. Naturally, I’ll send you a copy of the book and on my website, Small Business Success, I’ll include your web address etc to act as a link back to your site, if you have one.
As an aside, if anyone has published a ‘real’ book, as opposed to an e-book, and you have some tips and advice, then as this is my first go, drop me a line!
You can either send me a PM or send me an e-mail at rob@smallbusinesssuccess.biz
Who knows, this could start an interesting thread anyway!
