Has anyone applied to register or intends to register a .eu domain when they become available?
I think this link was originally posted on the forum but I'm not 100% sure.
At the risk of sounding thick, is there any benefit in registering? :?

it is not possible to refister or preregister.eu domains yet.

Anyone who says that they are preregistering is basically taking your money now, and then they will apply for the domain when they become available to be registered.

some reading for you :D

Well I've pre-registered mine with Lycos!

Which means that Lycos have the money in their bank and when the registrars are chosen for .eu they will try to register it for you, it is not actually pre-registered and they really shouldn't sell it as such.
