Hi there,

I have been in advertising for many years, but nothing has given me greater pleasure and enjoyment as Online media. Over the last 6 years I have grown a successful profitable online media agency, created innovation within the industry and still learn something new each week.

Eyeconomy is based in the City. I had worked in TV for years at some major agencies, but wanted a change and 1999 was the perfect time to do it with dot.com's booming. I joined a company of 3 and in just a few years we had IPO'd, become profitable, moved to the City and risen to MD of many more staff. Last year we sold to a AIM listed parent, but still remain in charge of our destiny and if anything help them, Gaming Corp, market their outstanding online and mobile gambling offerings, plus we continue to think of new ways to create revenues for site owners and response for advertisers.

The online industry does like its smoke and mirrors and sweeping statements and I continually strive to inform clients the simple truths, even the horrible ones, so that they fear less the medium and utilise it more and more with great success.

If you'd like to see some innovation then please take a look at my site http://www.eyeconomy.co.uk

I'd be happy to help anyone here and look forward to doing so over the coming months. 6 years in this business, getting my hands dirty in all its aspects and compiling a great contact list is just a little of what I can offer. Always cheerful.

Jon

Thansk Russell,

I didn't expect a reply so soon. I look forward to our future chats.

You might like a little something we are using at the bottom of online industry publication http://www.nma.co.uk/ . We can create greater more indepth SubLines than this, but it will do us for our needs.

Cheers,

Russ

I like the foot bar idea. How easy is it to find sites to host them? intersesting that pop up blocker doesnt pick it up...... Nice alternative to banner adds as well....

The SubLines we create can be hosted on over 40 UK sites from mainstream to blogs. I'm also chatting with a couple of major portals too at the moment. We offer the creation for free and charge only for the space. We even have publishers sell the concept and we gain a revenue from the number served.

As a layer, either top or bottom of site it doesn't get blocked and works on all formats and browsers. The best bit is that you can host almost anything in it from live TV feed (we did this with Five TV) to deep-linked search, games, registration, audio play/downloads or simple category/product reveals. Our thought is why are advertisers only offering one view to their potential customers when they could offer so much more.

There's more info at http://www.sublines.co.uk if anyone would care to trial them.

Cheers,

Jon,
I've been getting more and confused as to what you meant by sublines because I couldn't see anything. Then I twigged, you can't see them in Firefox :)

Hi Jon,

Welcome - like Richard I am a Firefox user so it took a while for me to twig and blow the cobwebs off my Interner Explorer!

I look forward to chatting with you around the forums. Feel free to post if you need any help and hopefully you can help others too!

Hi Jon,

I too must be a managing Director (I think), I own my own business, so I think that's what I am! Only difference is, I spend all day frying bacon butties and doing bookwork. Bet your Job isn't that boring! I think my correct title must be Managing Director/dogs body. If you need to know anything about bacon butties, then I'm your woman.

Best Wishes

Jayne
