i resisted facebook for a few months and love it now and use it everyday and so far ive dipped my toe into twitter but im not convinced that there is a place in my life for micro blogging

ok so a tweet is a post, can you post a update to people who are not following you or can you only post a tweet to your followers? is the idea to get as many followers as you can in the area your business is in them to keep tweeting them?

You post your tweet and some people use Tweetdeck, Tweetgroups etc to pick up on keywords you use and follow you. You can start conversations by viewing "all" and see what other people are tweeting - other than the people you follow are tweeting...making sense?
It all sounds very complicated but by looking at what others are doing you will soon pick up on it.
There are some great Twitter guides out there to help you get your head around it. Stick with it! :D
