Sorry to hear you are stuck. A bit of meaningful info about your venture would help. Different businesses at different stages have different options. Without knowing anything about you and your business it will be hard for anyone to offer any meaningful advise.

Answer: Credit card.
Most bank managers would think £10k is too small to start a business; throw away money..

Heh, I've done quite well with £3k so far. Website, stock, very limited advertising, business telephone, website hosting, credit card payment facilities, legal documents etc etc.
Amazing what you can do if you know you can't spare an extra penny on anything. Still, I think it will stand me in good stead as the number one problem in business is over spending which thankfully I don't think I am in danger of doing.

Why would anyone invest such a small amount? surly if you believe in your business it wouldn't take more than a couple of years or a couple of friends to get that amount? As soon as you say "loan" it hits about 20 flashing lights over me anyway.
