We want to be able to recruit staff online and need to be able to have candidates to fill in an application form online and for this information to feed into a usable database.

The application form will be quite long and complicated.

I have some basic HTML/CSS experience, so I want to know:

1) how to go about doing it myself (I mean the basics )

2) how to go about getting someone to do this for me - as inexpensively as possible

Thanks!

It's not a simple process - well depending on how much information you're wanting them to fill in, of course.

You need to know how to take the form inputs and put them into a database as well.

Drop me a line, I can do it for you pretty easily, so long as you know what information you want the people to put in. I can't honestly quote for it without knowing your full spec, but drop me a PM and I'll see what I can do.

Hello Lark,

The online application/form filling thing is a regular one that crops up. We've done a lot of work for recruitment agencies, most of which tend to just have candidates attach their CVs to a form that then gets emailed to you. That's the easiest 'manual' solution. For the database route, it's still not all that hard to do. Presumably you would want a secure login area for you and your staff to access the data via too? (unless you're using an off-the-shelf db access GUI).

In any case, if you're still looking for outside assistance then drop us an email though our site - www dot orchestrand dot com
